Volunteers Needed! Poker Run & Sailing Regatta
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The Civic Long Weekend, the Crane Lake Association will be hosting the first Landmark Lollapaloza Poker Run and our annual Sailing Regatta Events. But we need the the help of some Crane Lake community to run these wonderful programs!
Saturday July 30 - Lollapalooza Poker Run
In order to host this event we are looking for some more volunteers to help out for 2.5-3 hours on Saturday.
Ideal volunteer requirements:
Have a boat and anchor and be comfortable anchoring your boat for 2 hours and having participants boats come close to you so you can pass them envelopes.
We need at least 2 people per boat for safety and company
You’d need to be anchored at your landmark from roughly 12:45 to 3:00pm
You may need to ask prepared trivia questions, draw cards and hand out prizes
This could be IDEAL for high school students who need to complete their community volunteer hours!

Sunday July 31 - Sailing Regatta
We have a few volunteer opportunities for this event. In 2023, our long-standing Race Commodore, Steve, will not be available. If you are interested in taking on this task, this is a great year to step up and get some practice with Steve still at hand!
Race Commodore
Duties:
Start the race and note the time
Ensure sailors have properly crossed the start line
Track the time each of the sailors cross the finish line
Ideal volunteer requirements:
Have a boat and anchor (min 100’ of rope), comfortable anchoring under windy conditions
Have a watch or other time-telling device accurate to the second
Buoy Monitor
Duties:
Ensure sailors go around the buoys the correct way
Ensure sailors do not touch the buoys
Ideal volunteer requirements:
Have a boat and time to enjoy a Sunday on the water!
